As you all know, on the very auspicious day of Janury 1, 2018 when all the stars were perfectly aligned, Geshe Dawa Dhargye was chosen as the 34th sMenri Trizin (Throne holder of Menri who is the spiritual leader of the Bon Religion) with the process of Tagdril which is the authentic and unique tradition for selecting the new abbot of Menri by invoking all the chief deities and protectors of Yungdrung Bon for the revelation of the Truth. All Bonpos were very fortunate to have a time of great joy and happiness and welcomed the new Abbot with flowers.
On February 20, 2018, on the birth anniversary of Nyamme Sherab Gyaltsen, a brief enthronement ceremony was held in which His Holiness the 34th Menri Trizin Lungtok Dawa Dhargye Rinpoche was enthroned on the Golden throne of Gyalwa Nyammepa which is raised by five fearless faces.
On September 6-7, 2018 (26th and 27th of the seventh month of Tibetan calendar), after completing the first anniversary of His Holiness the 33rd Menri Trizin Rinpoche passing into Nirvana, we are organising a Grand Ceremony at Menri Monastery for celebrating the auspicious and glorious period of the new Abbot.

This is to announce that on September 3-4, 2018 (23rd and 24th of the seventh month of Tibetan calendar), we are organizing a ceremony for commemorating the first anniversary of the greatest master of our time and the ultimate refuge, His Holiness the 33rd Menri Trizin Rinpoche’s passing into Nirvana at Menri Monastery.
